Experience a truly eclectic, original and groundbreaking style of music, which takes some beautiful melodies, rhythms and harmonies inherited from different parts of the Mali Empire and blends them with influences from Pink Floyd, Carlos Santana, Aldi Meola and Bob Marley. In short this is where Jimi Hendrix meets Ali Farka Toure!

Lolou’s accomplished band members came together in 2006 having performed individually with Senegal’s superstars such as; Cheikh Lo, Baaba Maal, Youssou N’Dour, Doudou Ndiaye Rose, Thione seck, Omar Pene and Daby Balde. This crew of formidible musicians are now ready to take center stage expanding the boundaries of Youssou N’Dour trademark Mbalax sound.
